March 12th- Schubert and the Muse
We are thrilled to announce this fabulous event entitled “Schubert and the Muse” We invite you to join us on March 12th 2010, 7pm, for a delightful evening of music, featuring local concert pianist Michael Drislane, set in the intimate surroundings of Muse Winery where we will take you on a musical journey, exploring the works of J.S Bach, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Canadian composer Clermont Pépin. Appetizers will be provided to compliment your experience, and a cash bar will be available featuring a fabulous selection of Muse wines. Please reserve early! April 23, 24, 25 - Spring Art Show An exhibition showing the work of seven professional artists : Tara Juneau; Francis Powell Moore; Tony Bounsell; Paul Peregal; David Ladmore; Laurie Ladmore and David Hunwick. Come and enjoy an outstanding exhibition of paintings, prints and sculpture.
May 8th- A Mother/Daughter A 'Musing Afternoon
The full afternoon, including the Tasting Plate, the Tasting Flight of three - 2 oz glasses of wine, your ceramic piece, glazing paints, guidance from Pauline and the firing all for $150/ couple, or $75/person You'll have a choice of painting an appy plate, square sushi style plate or a funky salad bowl. Payment and ceramic choices must be made in advance to allow time for order and supply. Contact Pauline to reserve.
June 12th & 13th- Spring Studio Tour Make sure to stop by Muse Winery on this CACSP sponsored tour of artists and their studios on the Saanich Peninsula. We'll have Terry Venables, Mary Kennedy, David Hunwick, Barry Tate and Pauline Olesen showing their work for the 2 days. The artists are there to answer any questions on their respective mediums of goldsmithing, painting, cold cast bronze methods, glass fusing and ceramic painting. Try your hand at ceramic painting, adding your own paint strokes, to a large plate that will be on hand for a tour group project. August 28th & 29th ~ A Summer Pairing, Fine Art & Fine Wine Craig Benson, Christine Reimer, Sheena Lott and Pauline Olesen will be showing the best of their mediums in stone sculpture, paintings on canvas, paper and fused glass works. Reserve for lunch at Bistro Muse and spend the afternoon at the winery enjoying the beauty of art, paired with Muse wines and scrumptious bites from Bistro Muse.

What better way to spend some fun
time with Mom than to share a Tasting Plate for 2, experience a flight of Muse
Wines paired with the flavours of the Tasting Plate, and sketch while you nibble
and chat. After your lunch and wine, the Muses should be with you as you
wander over to the painting tables and Pauline Olesen, our glass artist, will
guide you through an afternoon of ceramic painting. Before Pauline
ventured into the fused glass world, she was painting ceramics and tile.
The painting will take place over the course of the afternoon and then the
pieces will be taken to her Piers Island Studio for firing. They'll be
available for pick up back at the winery the following weekend, or arrangements
can be made for shipping for an additional fee.
